She/Her/Hers (learn more)
From a young age, we collect experiences. These experiences become the lenses through which we view ourselves and the world around us, and some are heavier and more challenging to hold than others. As a therapist, my goal is to support clients in processing their experiences, understanding how those experiences have shaped their world, and finding value in who they are as a result of their story so far.
I received a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Crown College in Saint Bonifacius, Minnesota, and am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska. I have gained experience in a variety of settings over the past 10 years working with children, families, adults, and individuals with intellectual disabilities. After starting my career as an elementary educator, I began working in the mental health field and have since provided mental health care in homes, day programs, residential programs, and outpatient settings. As a mental health therapist, I have previously worked at Capstone Behavioral Health and Children’s Square USA.
I have received specialized training in several evidence-based practices with an emphasis on trauma-based approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Sand Tray Therapy.
I enjoy working with people in all stages of life to develop the skills they need to care for their mental and emotional health but focus my practice specifically on those experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, grief and loss, relational trauma, and questions regarding self-worth, identity, and purpose.
I would love to talk with you more about how I could support your mental health journey. Email me to schedule an appointment or call (402) 915-2431.
